College Drinking Resources
If you are a college student struggling with your drinking, the first place to go is your college health services program. They will often offer therapy or a recommended program to help you deal with your problem drinking.
There are also some Alcoholics Anonymous groups that tend toward young adults – you may have to go to a few meetings and ask around to find one. In fact, many college campuses have AA meetings right on site so you will feel more comfortable with your peers who are also dealing with alcohol has a negative factor in their lives.
If you are a parent of a college student who appears to be struggling with alcohol you should not ignore the issue and assume they will grow out of it. This is especially true if your son or daughter has gotten a DUI, in a car accident while drinking, or has been hospitalized due to a binge-drinking session. These are signs of a serious problem and ignoring it will not make it go away.
